Preventative Services

Our top priority at University Pediatric Dentistry is doing everything we can to prevent dental issues from occurring. Prevention begins with good dental habits, the right diet and regular visits to the dentist at a very early age. We cater to children of every age, and we love to educate parents about good oral hygiene and nutrition.

It’s great news that the incidence of tooth decay has significantly diminished over the years due to the
use of fluoride and an increase in patient awareness. However, teeth are still susceptible to decay,
infection, and breakage and sometimes need to be restored back to health. Through improved techniques
and modern technology, we are now able to offer more options for restoring baby teeth and permanent
teeth back to their normal shape, appearance and function.

Early Interceptive Orthodontics

Sometimes our little ones need small orthodontic care early on to help minimize or shorten future orthodontic needs. Dr. Jadav will monitor your child’s growth and development and let you know if and when you child needs to see an orthodontist. While they have their baby teeth in, Dr. Jadav will let you know if you child needs any of the following:

  • Space Maintainers

  • Palatal Expanders

  • Crossbite Correction

  • Habit Appliances for Thumb and Finger Sucking
